HOW TO MAKE A LIVING IN THE ARTS:

A COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH

  (Part of DC WEEK

Tired of Not Living an Authentic Life?

Not Sure How To Support Yourself Doing What You Really Love?

Is this Economy Making You Reevaluate Your Life?

Taught by Laura Zam, an award-winning writer, performer, and educator, HOW TO MAKE A LIVING IN THE ARTS offers artists (writers, designer, musicians, workshop facilitators, actors, etc.) a 21st century approach to making art, making money, and making a difference in the world!

You'll learn concrete steps for turning passion into profession--or turning profession into a more lucrative profession.  Unlike other artist-in-business workshops that focus primarily on marketing, or workshops aimed generically at discovering one's passion, this workshop offers solutions to an extensive range of real struggles faced by artists:  self-doubt, competition, others' skepticism, market conditions, focus, thought leadership, productivity, fears around money, time management, etc.

In this workshop you will learn how to:

  • Approach your life in a new way that allows you to make art, make money, and make a difference!
  • Construct a passionate vision for your life as a creative person;
  • Find a market for your work based on your unique contributions;
  • Manage and self-doubt and "naysayers";
  • Identify meaningful income streams;
  • Model your career on the lives of already successful artists;
  • Make the transition from your current life to your ideal artist's life.

Most importantly, you will walk away with a carefully-constructed strategic plan that moves you directly toward your dream.

I only accept 25 students so that everyone will get individual attention! Join us. This one Saturday could shift your life! Read more testimonials here!
